While my main focus at school was web design, I also took several classes on video editing/production and motion graphics. I found that I really enjoyed this, as well. I'm happy I didn't change majors, but I have a lot of fun with this.

Visa Commercial

This was the first motion graphics movie that I created with Adobe After Effects. We had to come up with a 15 or 30 second commercial for any product. Images were found online and backgrounds removed in Photoshop, then animated to music.

Kinetic Typography

I added motion graphics in the form of typography to a 2 minute audio clip from the movie Fight Club. It started off as a fun project, but I soon realized that getting the words to match with the type was harder that I originally thought it would be. In the end, I still enjoyed creating it.

Nightlife

This was done as the intro for a fictitious television series. The idea was that the show was similar to those shown on the CW (i.e. 90210, The Hills, Melrose Place, etc.). The images and video came from these. I added the motion graphics with some use of 3D elements. storyboards...

Possessed Energy Drink

This movie is a spoof of The Grudge and similar movies. It is a commercial for a fictitious energy drink. It runs longer than normal commercials, but is a lot of fun. Chess

I created this short video with 3D Studio Max. It was one of my first attempts (after animating a bouncing ball) at 3D animation, and I found it to be a lot of fun. While I am not a pro at this software, I do have the basic skills to use it.
